An Intimate At Home Wedding Celebration
When I left this celebration, I thought to myself "that was probably one of the most special celebrations I've ever been to." And it was. Hannah + Spencer get it. They understand the meaning of a gathering, and didn't fall into the "we have to stick to tradition" trap. Some things were traditional in a sense, but for the most part there were no rules to this celebration. It was just so intentional and unique.
This is the couple that eloped during the pandemic, but actually followed through on the celebration that they said they would have after eloping. The day started with an at home portrait session of them doing what they always do - enjoying a hot beverage in the morning and lounging around. The only thing out of the ordinary was their first dance - they opted to twirl around their living room in their jeans before everyone arrived. So special, right? It's all about doing what you want to do, however that looks.
The rest of the day was so laidback. The two parted ways before reuniting for their first look. Hannah purchased her dress in 2020 and it had been waiting at the seamstress for this day. She looked STUNNING, naturally. Family arrived first for some portraits, and then about 30 of their closest friends gathered to celebrate the two deserving newlyweds for a glorified pizza party with a whole lot of tears. It was literally the best.
