After taking a hiatus from blogging since giving birth, I'm so excited to be sharing this beautiful styled shoot that I pulled together back in February! Susan from the Millbrook Cathedral had asked if I wanted to plan something, and I was itching for a little creative freedom, so of course said yes! I considered this my last "hoorah" before going on a three month leave, and I am so so grateful to the vendors who helped make it happen! I've linked them all at the end of this post so be sure to check them out.

In my opinion, this venue is a hidden gem and it is located just 60 minutes east of Toronto. The cathedral itself fuses romance and minimalism through its high ceilings, natural light, and old world charm.

I felt inspired by the quiet, intimate moments that come with the stillness of winter. My original thoughts were classic black and white, playing off of the cathedrals charcoal stones and bold window frames. I wanted to keep the colour palette and styling both neutral and minimal, the complement the venue's history. And then came the dress. Bliss Bridal Boutique sent us the Sparrow dress from La Perle... and oufff. I just love this dress. It was dreamy and elegant and timeless and something that I'm sure many brides are seeking. With the colour palette, venue, and dress in place, the vision came to life from there. The result is raw, poetic, and so romantic.
